Why Volunteering Matters

Volunteers help strengthen the community around TQS, supporting school events, family connection, and the everyday life of the school. Staff continue to lead student learning, care, and decision-making. Volunteering is about contributing to that community, modeling positive behavior, and supporting our values and policies along the way.

What Volunteering Looks Like at TQS

Volunteering at TQS starts with submitting your clearances, which helps us maintain a safe environment for every student. From there, we’ll let you know about upcoming opportunities that fit your interests and availability.

Clearances, Safety and Student Wellbeing

What This Can Look Like

The safety and wellbeing of our students is our top priority. Volunteers are required to submit clearances before participating in school events or activities. This helps us maintain a safe space for students and comply with state regulations.

Depending on your role, this may include:

  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Clearance
  • FBI fingerprinting, if you haven’t lived in Pennsylvania for the past 10 years
