Health & Wellness
Supporting physical development, body awareness, and everyday wellbeing.

Everyday activities to promote wellbeing

Wellbeing at TQS is part of everyday school life. For many students, feeling comfortable in their bodies can affect how they take part in the day and respond to learning.
Students are gradually introduced to strategies that help them feel settled and engaged in different environments. Sometimes that happens through movement or games. Sometimes it happens during mindfulness activities and sensory experiences. Over time, students begin to recognise what helps them regulate their energy and return to a calmer state when things feel overwhelming.

Helping students stay engaged for longer
Regular participation in Health & Wellness supports physical development, but it also contributes to regulation and focus in other areas of the day. Students who move well tend to learn more comfortably.
Over time, students build a stronger understanding of their own physical needs, and how meeting those needs helps them engage more fully in school life.
