Support that's part of learning

At TQS, clinical support is built into how students experience every day.

How support works at TQS

Support in context

At TQS, clinicians and specialists work alongside teachers in classrooms and throughout the day, observing students in real situations and responding in the moments where support is actually needed.

This means your child receives support in context, with additional one-to-one support available for those who choose it. Over time, the strategies they learn become familiar tools they use on their own.

At TQS, we also use the Collaborative & Proactive Solutions approach across the school. This means challenges are understood as skill gaps, not behavior problems, and they’re addressed through collaboration with students, not around them.

Developmental Learning

Every student at TQS participates in a range of developmental learning programs designed to support well-being, self-awareness, and confidence alongside academic learning. These aren’t extras; they’re a core part of what it means to be a student here.

Specials programs students participate in:

Family & Consumer Science: practical life skills

Health & Wellness: physical development and wellbeing

Recreational Therapy: participation through shared experiences

Social Development: communication and relationships

Yoga & Mindfulness: focus and self-regulation
