Strategic Plan
A clear strategic direction for children with complex challenges.

Leading the Change
“Our vision has never been the status quo. It's always been the next step.”

Since 1982, The Quaker School at Horsham has grown from a small school dedicated to meeting the learning needs of children with complex challenges into an expansive, innovative community that changes the lives of K–12 and post-graduate students and their families.
Today, that growth continues with our strategic direction, Leading the Change – a direct result of our Board of Trustees and Strategic Planning Committee reflecting on our accomplishments and asking what more we can do for individuals with complex challenges. The plan is ambitious and achievable.
Strategic Direction

We're developing focused practices across five priorities:
Bold Leadership
We will strengthen our position as a leader in this field by maintaining strong programs and ensuring long-term sustainability through strategic Board development, governance, and leadership.
Authentic Engagement
We will engage our community through clear, meaningful storytelling that expands fundraising and builds broader awareness of TQS’s work.
Emboldened People
We will attract and retain highly qualified teachers, counselors, therapists, and staff, and support them with a robust professional development program so they can provide strong education and student support.
Unparalleled Programs
We will continue building a distinctive, research-based program for children with complex challenges, from kindergarten through post-graduate education.
Audacious Innovation
We will explore strategic opportunities to expand our school, support our mission, and extend our program to underserved children and families.

From Strategy to Action

Each of these goals has specific strategies and tactics, yet the plan is still rooted in our mission and philosophy – the care, respect, and love that has defined TQS since our founding more than 40 years ago.
The Board of Trustees and Strategic Planning Committee will continue to review our progress and adjust course as priorities evolve.
