Social and Emotional Support

We employ an industry-leading three full-time clinical social workers, one full-time and one part-time board certified behavior specialist and a full-time licensed behavior specialist, who all offer individual counseling sessions with students, support our faculty and provide feedback to families.

Safety Care Trainer

Neuropsychological Support

A neuropsychologist works at TQS part-time, helping to develop our curriculum, consulting with our teachers in evidence-based best practices in special education, and assisting families with evaluation and referrals.

Areas of Focus:

  • Reviewing and supporting all academic programs
  • Working with teachers and providing recommendations on instruction
  • Reviewing student progress and designing interventions
  • Providing consultation to families

Upper School families are invited to a Lunch and Learn focused on College Planning for Students with Complex Challenges beginning at 12:00 p.m.  Laura Sibbald, Executive Director of Neurodiversity Initiatives from Chestnut Hill College and Kristen Tabun, Director of Transition from TQS will review with families how to know if their student is ready for college, what to do now to support a transition, and how to successfully navigate the many changes students will face in college.
