We Did It!

We Did It!

Dear TQS Families,

Well, we did it! Week One of the 2020-2021 school year is in the books, and I could not be more proud of our entire community.

Our teachers and staff met the moment with enthusiasm and joy.

After working tirelessly for months to ensure the healthy, happy return of our students, faculty members successfully delivered both in-person and online instruction -- with minimal technical issues. The seamless success of this week is a testament to their preparedness and professionalism.

Our students showed up (both in-person and online) as their full selves, present and eager to reunite with friends and faculty.

Mask compliance remained at nearly 100%, and all students adhered to health and safety measures. Our new 10th-grade class started as planned and is off to a great start, and all of our Upper School students are enjoying learning in the Horsham Friends Meetinghouse, where our school started 38 years ago. Through social distancing and through screens, we could still sense the re-strengthening of bonds and an overall excitement to learn amongst students of all ages.

And you, our parents and families, made it all happen with enduring patience and trust.

As I’ve said since March, your resilience is what made this reopening possible. I know it has been a difficult few months, and I appreciate all that you’ve done to support not only your own student but our entire TQS community.

We all expected this year to look different, but I can now gladly say that no matter what challenges we had to overcome to get here, the spirit of our school remains strong.

This collective work makes me more confident than ever that, regardless of what comes our way, we will have a fantastic school year and continue to #shinetogether. Thank you -- for this week, and for everything.

Shine on,

Alex
