Gratitude and Appreciation

Dear Families:

“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes…Including you.”

–Anne Lamott

Spring Break is here. The school year is two-thirds over. We are seeing sunshine again, and there is so much for which to be thankful…

Thank you to our entire TQS community for making this unprecedented school year the great success it is for our students. This was not an easy feat. Yet the results of our perseverance, optimism, and dedication shine through on the faces of our students each and every day.

Thank you to our teachers for their bravery and love. So many schools are just now getting ready to come back to in-person learning, and our classes have been open to students since the beginning of September -- because of your commitment. From cleaning, to masking, to learning to teach Hyflex, to moving into a new school wing, you’ve adjusted to each obstacle with grace and enthusiasm.

Thank you to our parents for trusting us and being our true partners. Your help with maintaining our health and safety standards, your flexibility with schedule changes and closures (which is hopefully now all behind us), and your support of one another have allowed us to deliver on our school’s promise each and every day.

Thank you to our Board and our donors for your support and generosity. The fact that we were able to construct our beautiful new wing during such a time is a testament to your dedication. Despite all of the challenges, this year was marked by positive progress.

Now, you all deserve a happy, peaceful Spring Break.

Please: rest, relax, and be safe. Continue to social distance, avoid large groups, and wear those masks. If you travel internationally, quarantine upon return for the whole community’s safety. And remember, look out for our survey in early April to share your thoughts on our future return to full in-person instruction.

After the break, let’s come back safer, stronger, and shining together for the rest of the school year. We’ve got this.

Shine on,

Alex
