Full Enrollment for the 2021-2022 School Year

Full Enrollment for the 2021-2022 School Year

Dear Parents:

“I am glad that we are sometimes happy and sometimes not. You get your wisdom working by having different emotions.” — Yoko Ono

I am writing this letter with so many mixed emotions...

I am delighted at the growth taking place here at The Quaker School at Horsham.

I am thrilled that 80 students will learn, grow, and thrive here next year.

I am joyful that our beautiful new wing, which just opened in January, is already at capacity.

I am proud that TQS Upper School is fully enrolled in only its second year.

I am elated that the Sassafras program has doubled in size in one year.

I am overjoyed that student retention is at an all-time high and that so many students are returning this year.

I am so very happy that I get to share these things with you … yet so very sad because many students that need the transformative work of TQS will be turned away again this fall.

The Quaker School at Horsham is once again fully enrolled for the 2021-2022 school year.

All of our school programs are now full, except for two remaining spots in Sassafras due to the growing nature of the program.

I love, love, love welcoming students to TQS, and seeing their smiling faces on the first day of school. I love watching students who used to cry when the school bus arrived now run off the bus and into school, laughing with friends. I love hearing kids read for the first time. I love learning about birthday parties that happened over the weekend. I love when parents come to my office to share success stories.

I love everything about this school … yet I do not love that TQS cannot provide these experiences to every student who needs our help.

If you are a family we had to turn away this year, or if you are thinking about TQS for your child, please apply early this fall. Our admissions office will be onboarding new families and then will close until October.

For the 80 students who will be at TQS this fall, welcome. I’m sure the approaching first day of school is bringing out your own mixed emotions, and I can assure that the good ones will prevail. I look forward to emotionally greeting you all on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Shine on,

Alex
