School and Community Happenings

*Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and stay-at-home state order, our Open House events and 5th Annual Children with Complex Challenges Conference will be held virtually.  All other events have been cancelled or postponed.*

Throughout the school year, The Quaker School at Horsham hosts various events ranging from our annual Back-to-School Cookout to our Annual Children with Complex Challenges Conference. All events are held at our school, free, and open to members of both the TQS community and our greater Delaware Valley community.

We hope to see you at one or all of these upcoming events.

TQS Book Club Topic #3: Helping Adolescents Understand Their Autism
  • TQS Book Club
Alex Brosowsky

When you’re the parent of a teenager, you can expect to have challenging conversations.

Adolescence is a tumultuous time in a child’s life, and it often requires families to have deep discussions about big, sometimes uncomfortable, topics. At the same time, it can be challenging to initiate these conversations, especially if your teen is not enthused by talking about their feelings and emotions.

When that teen is also diagnosed with autism, the complexity of these conversations increases dramatically.
