Teachers, parents,
friends, alumni and their families have all worked together over the years to
support our school and its mission. As an independent school, The Quaker School
does not receive major funding from state or federal agencies. Our highly
specialized educational program is supported by tuition and the gifts of
parents, alumni, foundations and fundraising activities. Donations help to close the gap between tuition and
day-to-day expenses, teacher salaries, maintenance, school supplies, financial
aid, and other fees that are required to run a school. Your
tax-deductible gifts* benefit and support all aspects of the school.
As an independent
school, The Quaker School at Horsham has the freedom to develop and employ
programming that reflects the latest research about how children best {support} learn,
and to infuse it with values that teach our students what it means to be a part
of a global community. This independence has an economic aspect as well: we are
entirely self-funded. Because tuition has never covered the full cost of a TQS education,
we have relied on support and volunteerism from school families, faculty,
staff, alumni, grandparents, trustees, Friends and friends. Our ability to
provide the best experience for students has been due, largely, to the
philanthropic contributions of our community.
Giving offers a way to
voluntarily support The Quaker School, its students and its mission. Your
gift to The Quaker School makes a positive difference for our students and for
our community. No gift is too small, nor is a gift too large. Each gift is a show
of support for the school and this show of support is very important to us.
